Baby steps- Formal Dressing.

Jacket- Zara, Denims-Levis, Tank-Forever 21, Bag- Esbeda, Sunglasses- D-mart (steal!)

Ever since I've set my goals on becoming a personal shopper and stylist, all I ever dreamed about is owning a super fancy work station and wearing fancy things like blazers and heels.

Formal dressing has always been immensely fascinating to me. So each time, I saw a picture of somebody wearing a blazer, I’d turn to my mother and tell her I’d wear that once I started working professionally. In due course of time, attending workshops, meetings and events called for formal dressing. And ever since, it has been a persistent effort to dress in formalswhile keeping my personal style in mind which gravitates towards comforting casual clothing.

Even though denims are strictly categorized as casual wear in about any book that talks dress codes, I still wear denims on blazers owing to my interminable need for tardy comfort. Denims paired with any kind of blazers, trench coats, long line cardigans always turn out looking absolutely alluring. Team that with a pair of heels and a tote, super stylish sunglasses and it could literally transform your dull office attire.

Living in the Dress-Benzer, Jacket- street buy, Sunglasses-Marc Jacobs, Brogues-Zara

Living in the sweltering heat of Mumbai has taught me one thing: wear as minimal clothes as you can. While this works most of the time, there is another hassle of dealing with the tan that I get wearing clothes that allow for some skin show. To avoid that, I tend to layer up, preferably a jacket or a kimono which are so in this season.

This outfit is also one of those, because the bodycon dress- as darling as it is, gives me a tan so bad it could put tanning lotions to shame. So I decided to throw on this light jacket in an Aztec print, contrasting the nude tones of the dress. The jacket though did nothing for the very flattering silhouette of the dress, so I teamed it up with a thin nude belt to cinch my waist. Also, I’ve been meaning to take these brogues out forever, but never gotten the chance to, but ever since they’ve practically replaced all the other shoes that I have!
